Dennis "Robocop" Orcollo, now regarded as the world's No. 1 pool player, lost the chance to bring home the top prize in the finals of the $50,000 winner-take-all “International Challenge of Champions” held August 11-12 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Orcollo was beaten by China’s Fu Jiann-bu. Perry Mariano, Orcollo's manager, said he talked to his ward after the match. Orcollo told Mariano said it was his break that let him down.

Orcollo’s manager Perry Mariano said that he had spoken to Orcollo after the match and he said it was his break that let him down. Fu and partner Li e-wen are the reigning World Cup of Pool champions.

Mariano, meanwhile, said Orcollo will team up with veteran Francisco “Django” Bustamante in this year’s staging of the World Cup of Pool. He said the duo would be a formidable team.

Bustamante and his bosom buddy Efren “Bata” Reyes won the inaugural staging of the World Cup in 2006 when they beat the US tandem of Earl Strickland and Rodney Morris in the finals, 13-5.
